Based on stylized mid-century design forms that I've been playing around with for many years now, such as my dingbat font "Satellite" (dingbatcave.com). Sputnik has what appears to be a fired terra cotta center glazed with an unusual green metallic glaze. Legs are made of plexiglas with round blue glass feet. Floats over an Earthly planet.
